Privacy, on the internet? Really!

Ya gotta love the mind set, 'I was just exercising freedom of speech on my facebook page and shouldn't have been fired. It's my private page!'

How in the world do they not realize that there is nothing private about the internet? Why in heavens name do they believe that they can say whatever they want without the possible repercussions that may arise from their statements? Their employer does not have to support a racist or bigoted viewpoint of an employee by keeping them on the payroll if it will bring their business under a microscope in a way that could cause them to lose business or label them as questionable and unfair concerning the service they may provide.

Quite simply put, there is no expectation of privacy on the internet. Once something is put out there, it is there for the world to see. If you make racist comments and share racist memes on social media, you will be seen as a racist who does not care that the world will see them as a bigot.

Hanoi Jane

Once again we are seeing the face of Jane Fonda and the hate that is directed toward her because of her stance concerning Viet Nam and her trip to Hanoi. She has been called a traitor yet found to have broken no laws with respect to treason nor sedition. I'll not say she was right to go nor will I defend her. What I will point out is that almost all od the people who choose to be so vocal about her are the same people who applaud Senator Mitch McConnells refusal to give a nom,inee a rightful hearing to fill the vacancy of the Supreme Court. They are the same people who cheered on President Elect Donald Trump while he called for second amendment solutions if he were to lose the election. These are the same people who continually support a republican led congress in their attempt to make a failure of the Obama administration.

We are a nation that has chosen to condemn Jane Fonda never to be forgiven while applauding and supporting people who have vowed to make this country fail for the purpose of obtaining political power rather than work for the best interests of the people. There's something wrong with the way 'we the people' allow the body politic rape the country while condemning an individual.

Voting Your Conscience

The problem with voting your conscience for a candidate that cannot pull more than 3 to 10% (this includes Johnson and Stein) of the vote is the idea that you don't really care who is elected and that either of those two losers (in their minds) who represent the major parties is fine with you. Sure, you'll feel great that you didn't have to hold your nose but many of you people were staunch supporters of Senator Sanders during the primaries but are now turning your backs on him when he has made it clear that now is the time to unify behind Secretary Clinton. He made it perfectly clear that that was his stance on the subject of support from the very beginning if he were to lose the nomination to Secretary Clinton. If your support for Senator Sanders was real concerning his position during the primaries, it shouldn't be changing now.

Any vote for an non-electable third party candidate tells this guy, you really don't care what the direction this country moves.   

White Privilege

I've never had monetary wealth and probably never will. I've never been give a position above entry level in any of my career (job) choices. I've never been promoted over others more deserving nor reached the level of others just because I am Caucasian. But I am allowed what is termed 'white privilege'. You see, being Caucasian I get to enjoy the benefit of the doubt. The powers that be will attempt to talk to me rather than assume because of my 'race' I must be guilty of something and do not deserve to be treated with respect. 'White privilege' has very little to do with wealth or position and everything to do with how whites are treated with much more respect than other 'races'. We are all humans and deserve the same level of respect when approached by one another. We are all individuals and deserve the same level of respect for who we are rather than what we look like physically. We are all members of the same race, the human race.

When Will Black Lives Matter

Idiots, the lot of them. They suffer from blindness of the mind. Their thinking that “black lives matter” is saying that other lives don't. When black men, women and children are approached by an officer with his or her weapon drawn in the same situation a white person is with a conversation, they are already being considered a threat and worthy of death on the street rather than that their life is worth anything. The folks in the movement realize that all lives do matter and they only want to be considered as part of that “all”. They wish for inclusion as people, as other humans and not the 3/5^th of a person of the slavery days.

Equality is more than having the same rights. Equality is being treated with the same respect according to those rights. Bigotry of the past taught prejudice that has gotten in the way of “We hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty, and the persuit of happiness.”

I saw a cartoon that showed the body of a dead black man next to the body of a dead police officer. Their blood running together. The same red color. The blood of the same specie. Blood that could have been shared to save each others lives. Both were of the human race. Who matters? We all do. When are we going to treat each other in that matter?
